If we ask Great Spirit to guide this world, but then balk when things follow by way of the Divine plan rather than how we think they should go, exactly whose plan are we really asking for?
The wounds of humanity are making themselves known. Reiki is so perfect for this and every other time that we think that Spirit’s plan is against us. I just suffered a health crisis last week, one which most people don’t live through without medical intervention, yet I held the faith that Rei Ki, the Divine’s Wise Path for Life Energy to Travel, would wash me from a stormy sea safely to shore. Feeling that perhaps I alone had not the strength to effect the prayer, I called out to my fellow Reiki practitioners for help, however none were reachable and this allowed me to see that even the meekest voice alone is heard by Spirit. My prayer was not of desperation to remain here on Earth or be cured of all pain and suffering, but to be relieved of the anxiety and fear about the journey because it’s this anxiety and fear that produces the majority of the suffering. And I see this is what is taking place in the world today—humanity is suffering from anxiety and fear rather than making a stand in faith. And I can see that making a stand in faith is difficult when we think that we know better than Spirit. Self-Righteous Indignation is a poison we cannot afford to drink or pour for others to drink. Love is the key here to all doors that lead to the abatement of the collective egos, most of which bathe in such fear on a daily basis and have grown accustomed to spreading fear as a contagion. As the saying goes, “Misery loves company.”
What can we do with Reiki at times like these when the world is divided between extremes? To move toward a state of Grace means those of us who make efforts to remain calm and centered must work together to buoy those who cannot swim. But more, what of the ones who refuse to be buoyed? Shall we allow ourselves to be pulled under with their scuffle and strife as they fight in panic? Or send Reiki for their drowning experience? This is the tough question. It is tough because one cannot pull many to safety if one drowns in feeble rescue of the unrescuable. And somehow life puts this test to us in so many ways along the journey. For some, there is no question here but for others that feel there must be a way to heal the whole, leaving no single person behind, this is an ongoing debate. Yet the great teachers of esoterism instruct us to step over and around the dead and dying to continue forward, and that to do so assists our reach of some goal which will guarantee in the future that the past will not have suffered and struggled in vain. What of today, then, I ask? What of the present? The answer coming forth—Reiki to calm the seas. Reiki to heal the whole. Reiki to heal within. For Reiki is not a prayer for things to go the way of our egos’ intent. It is truly a prayer to be relieved of the anxiety and fear about the journey in order that genuine healing may be by the Divine’s Wise Path for Life Energy to Travel.
Do we have faith that Great Spirit has a more objective view of reality than we do? Or do we suffer the illusion that we know better than this all-knowing, omnipotent wisdom of the universe? This, I believe, is the crux of our worldly situation, that we must learn to master the ego and dissolve the anxiety and fears into True Conscience, and we may use Reiki to do this.
For those who would take the viewpoint of the mundane existence, shall we indulge eight years of an anti-white man agenda and not expect, in a world of duality, its opposite pro-white man agenda to surface in response? When we look at this from a mundane viewpoint it is so easy to say “angry white men” are taking over the rule, but if we rise to a higher level of understanding it is clear that duality is simply at work here. When the pendulum swings left, it will inevitably, eventually swing back to the right, and vice versa. How then to find the center? Will rioting tantrums bring us to center and balance? Will words and/or actions of hatred, fear, and violence bring us to center? Children learn at such a young age to be sweet when desirous of something, then to resort to tears and finally to screams when their desires are not met with satisfaction. Do we wish to continue to be children, safety-pinned in diapers, or to become adults with the ability to work toward self-discipline and healing? Could it be that we are being sorted according to our knowledge and understanding and, most of all, self-mastery? “A” for Effort. Progress, not perfection. Are the first graders less important than the high school seniors about to graduate? Or are they simply unready for college level courses? Might it be that such a paradigm shift as this that we are experiencing right now will “separate the wheat from the chaff” and move us into the paradigm most appropriate for our best continued education? Perhaps those who wish to remain focused on the mundane existence of humankind can do so while those who wish to rise to a higher perspective, to learn to view reality from a more objective and centered position may also choose to do so.
For who founded the “land of the free and the home of the brave” if not “angry white men” who were simply swinging from “oppression” to its opposite “freedom”—although oppressing as they went along, for duality presides as long as we partake of it? This is not a new rodeo for any of us. History repeats itself unless and until we can still the swing of the pendulum within and without. Would Ms. Clinton’s beholding to middle eastern’s funding have stilled the pendulum? To see the horrific treatment of middle eastern women and gays under Sharia Law does not instill great faith that those same powers would invest in America a calm and serene pendulum. So America has been asked to choose between “angry white men” using a billionaire white male as their face and “angry middle eastern men” using a millionaire white woman as their face. Was this really any choice at all? Could that be why so much hostility has come forth from this process—that the people have discovered their true fear and frustration in their mundane powerlessness? How, then, will the tantrums resolve such a revelation when only the efforts to rise to a higher level of understanding can do so?
And so, GODD (Good Orderly Divine Direction) has played the Trump card and revealed to those who might see with new eyes that it is not the external rulers who must change but the internal rule that must be addressed. For integrity is only possible within each individual person and change is only possible where there is the burning desire to no longer swing on the pendulum of drama (comedy vs. tragedy on the pendulum) but to find the point of stillness, Grace, which is available for the asking. What better two candidates could we have been given to show us with abundant clarity that it is we who must change, become fit for the gift of this life which we receive from the Divine’s Wise Path for Life Energy to Travel . . . what better two candidates to reveal the nature of duality to new eyes . . . what better gift than this election which has offered revelation for all who might step out of fear and into the light of truth? For which of us can hope to effect repair to that which we don’t know is broken? First, we must see with new eyes.
The mundane existence may be fine for elementary school children for they know not of an existence beyond the mundane. To live in an extraordinary world, one must first become aware that an extraordinary world exists. The best teachers of this are those who choose to see the world from a new perspective. And, though I wish this for myself, I dare not wish it for anyone else lest they not be up to the challenge or worse, not know in great faith that even the meekest voice alone is heard by Spirit, for pain may be mandatory in the tearing down and rebuilding, whereas suffering is optional for those with faith in the process. The wise might do well to have faith that the Divine’s Wise Path for Life Energy to Travel will guide us all on our journey through this time-space continuum, and that the wheat (the spirit) will provide sustenance while the chaff (the ego) is dispersed to become fertilizer for our continued growth along spiritual lines.
I send Reiki as a prayer to be relieved of the anxiety and fear about the journey so that true healing may occur, and as in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, I reiterate on his behalf, “Marley was dead: to begin with,” and “God Bless us all, every one.”
Goodness Gracious! For those of you who might have misconstrued my unwillingness to participate in political discourse for a lack of education or opinion on such matters, my gift to you is Reiki ;-).

Books I have enjoyed reading this season:
Plato and Aristotle. A fascinating study of two philosophers at odds.
Binge reading Murder Mystery novelist Margaret Coel’s books this season. Not a fan of murder mysteries but Coel’s writing intrigues and inspires me. Her style is simple yet elegant, descriptive enough to transport me to a place or see a person’s face, without overdoing. Her focus is on the Arapahoe in Wyoming and a Jesuit Priest. I’m fascinated by her historical research and have enjoyed watching her writing style blossom from book to book as she’s honed her craft.
Until we meet again, keep reading, keep writing, keep dreaming!
